i) To produce Veterinary graduates & Post-graduates by imparting need based and relevant education and training, i.e. Human Resource Development.

ii) To provide services to the farmers for production of quality livestock & birds of high production potentialities and maintenance of their health including prevention of diseases.

iii) To provide diagnostic services pertaining to infectious & non-infectious diseases of livestock and poultry species.

iv) To conduct need oriented researches to control diseases in livestock & birds and formulate breeding, feeding and management strategies utilizing locally available resources as well as low cost technology, besides basic researches in the subjects like Pharmacology and Biochemistry.

v) To provide vocational trainings to the youths in the various fields of Veterinary sciences & A.H. to develop entrepreneurship for their self employment and generating opportunities of employment.

vi) To promote awareness among the farmers/livestock and poultry breeders to adopt scientific Animal Husbandry.
