Livestock Production & Management
1. About the Department :
The Department of Livestock Production and Management has been come into existence in the year of 1981 after bifurcation from the oldest Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding of the college. This department has been actively engaged in UG and PG teaching, need based researches and extension activities.
2. Mandates/Objectives :
- To cater the needs of teaching at Under-graduate and Post-graduate level on the different courses of Livestock Production and Management.
- To conduct need based researches in the field of Livestock including Poultry Production and Management.
- Extension programmes related to the improved production and productivity under different managemental systems.
- Other academic and curricular activities as required by the university.
