At present the library has about 25000 books and bound periodicals. It was subscribing 140 scientific periodicals of Indian as well as foreign origin, to keep teachers, researchers, and students well informed.

This library has also established a seperate Book bank for SC /ST UNDERGRADUATE students of this college A well established Reprography section with latest photocopier Machine is working smoothly since 1986

The library also have some valuable and rare collection of books & journals . we are also providing LAN system with internet facility whcih comprises of 12 PC terminals , with all relevant library softwares . The students and faculty members are utilizing the facilities for teaching and research purpose .

ARIS CELL & ABG IT UNIT
Keeping in mind the revolutionary advancement in the field of information technology and to provide rapid and free access to the scientific world , the ARIS (Agricultural Research Information System) cell was established in the Department of Animal Breeding & Genetics of B. V College , Patna with the financial assistance from ICAR , New Delhi in the year 2005.

ARIS cell is being extensively used by the undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as faculty members to browse and access to the latest scietific developments in the field of veterinary sciences.
